Notley Abbey is nestled between the villages of Long Crendon & Haddenham, and the town of Thame. All three are within 10 minutes drive and have a wide range of hotels, B&Bs and pubs with rooms in which to stay.

If none of the above suit, Aylesbury is within 30 minutes drive and a significantly larger town with even more options for accommodation.

Please be aware that on the day, you will want to arrive by car/taxi due to the remote location of the venue.

For guests planning to make a multiple day trip out of their time with us, there are several options.

We would highly recommend a trip to Oxford for a day, approx 40 mins drive from the venue. We've stayed previously and loved it. If you do go, we would advise spending a day and starting early. We can personally recommend the following activities:

• City tour with Alumni: Tours provided by current Oxford students, which give you access to parts of the campus not normally publicly accessible. Should include access to the Bodleian Libraries, which were a filming location for the Harry Potter movies.
• The Oxford Artisan Distillery: A gin and whisky distillery with an interesting tour
• The Ashmolean Museum: One of the oldest museums in the world with a wide range of collections
• BBuona: Serves Pinsa (a kind of Pizza) and in the evening expect a vibrant atmosphere with patrons singing and dancing
